Introducing Offer Reports on IB Vine

What launched, and why does it matter?

Today we're launching Offer Reports: a new way for candidates to share their recruiting outcomes and help future applicants understand the recruiting landscape.
This is the first step toward a public, anonymized recruiting insights feed once enough data is collected.
We built Offer Reports to make recruiting outcomes more transparent. Now, you can anonymously share:
  • Which firms you interviewed at
  • Which firms extended offers
  • Where you ultimately accepted
  • Key factors that influenced your decision
  • Advice for future candidates
All reports are completely anonymous. Your name and contact information are never displayed publicly. Once we have sufficient data, we will publish a feed of recruiting outcomes to help future candidates understand trends and make informed decisions.
Only users with IB Vine accounts can submit offer reports. Once logged in, you can submit your offer report at ibvine.io/your-offers. Create a free account to get started and share your recruiting outcome.

Example Offer Report

Here's what an offer report looks like. This is an example of a Michigan Ross undergraduate who recruited for Summer 2026 banking roles:

Decision factors

Ultimately chose Evercore for their exceptional M&A platform and deal flow. The culture during super day felt collaborative and their analysts have great exit opportunities. I appreciated the emphasis on mentorship and the lean deal teams. Location in NYC was also a key factor for building my network.

Advice for applicants

Mock interviews were absolutely critical to my success; I practiced weekly for six months and it made a huge difference when answering questions under pressure. Start technical prep early so you're not cramming, and focus on understanding theory deeply rather than just memorizing answers. For networking, build genuine relationships with bankers as mentors, not just referral sources; you need people advocating for you after superday. Don't be afraid to show personality and take calculated risks in behaviorals to stand out, especially if you're from a non-target. Stay current on markets, recent deals, and industry trends; it's a huge opportunity to differentiate yourself. Finally, be selective about which banks you target and understand that elite boutiques are significantly more technical than bulge brackets, so prepare accordingly.

PS: This sample applicant advice comes from our Investment Banking 2026 Recruiting Tips blog.

Privacy & transparency

We take privacy seriously. Here's what we share and what we don't:
✅ What will be shared publicly (once we have sufficient data): Required fields include school, student type, role type, and recruiting cycle. Optional fields you can choose to share include accepted offer details (firm, title, job type), firms interviewed at, firms that extended offers, offer location/group/date, compensation (base salary and signing bonus), decision factors, and advice for future applicants.
❌ What's never shared: Your name, email, or any personally identifiable information. All reports are completely anonymous.
Our goal is to create a transparent, supportive community where candidates can learn from each other's experiences while maintaining complete privacy. Once we have sufficient submissions, we will publish an aggregated feed of recruiting outcomes.

What's next?

This is just the beginning for Offer Reports. Once we have sufficient submissions, we plan to publish:
  • A public feed of anonymized recruiting outcomes
  • Aggregated data visualizations and recruiting trends
  • Filtering by school, firm, role type, and recruiting cycle
  • More detailed insights about interview processes
