From technical flashcards to the most comprehensive investment banking preparation platform - here's everything we shipped in 2025.
December 2025

2025 by the numbers

2025 was a defining year for IB Vine:
  • 1,150+ new real interview questions added across 5 releases
  • 65K+ study days (178 years) logged by the community this year
  • AI voice-to-voice mock interviews with IB Mock - generating 20K+ minutes of mock interview sessions in its first 80 days after launch
  • 40+ learning modules launched with Learn
  • Partnerships with student organizations at schools like UCLA, UNC, and Michigan

A year in review

At the beginning of 2025, IB Vine offered simple flashcards for a curated set of ~400 technical questions. Great for drilling questions if you already knew the concepts - but that was it.
Over the years, we heard requests for more questions, more features, and more ways to practice.
In February, we launched IB Vine 2.0 - a ground-up rebuild. New technical questions, behavioral questions, review modules, and the architecture to support everything that followed.
Today, IB Vine is the most comprehensive investment banking interview preparation platform - offering 1,800+ curated technical and behavioral questions, learning modules, and AI-powered mock interviews to help candidates secure positions at top firms.
  • Learn the concepts - 40+ learning modules with structured content, flashcards, and quizzes
  • Master the content - 1,800+ curated questions with expert answers, including 1,200+ from real interviews across 40+ firms
  • Master your delivery - Voice-to-voice AI mock interviews with personalized feedback on ibmock.ai

New questions

Five major question bank releases, adding hundreds of questions from actual interviews reported by candidates in recent recruiting cycles.
The "Reported in Interviews" collection now spans 1,200+ questions across 40+ firms.

New products: IB Mock

In October, we launched ibmock.ai - offering voice-to-voice AI mock interviews with personalized feedback and performance tracking.
In its first ~80 days after launch:

Community

We added leaderboards on both IB Vine and IB Mock so you can see who's putting in the reps (65K+ study days were logged across the IB Vine community this year).
We introduced the Community Showcase on IB Mock - a curated library of real mock interview sessions submitted by our users. You can listen to how other students answer questions, review the feedback they received, and learn from their performance across different topics, difficulties, and question types.
We launched Community Outcomes - showcasing anonymized recruiting outcomes from our community. We love to see our users winning!
We shared user stories through our Candidate Spotlight series - including posts on going direct to PE and strategies from Summer 2026 Candidates.

Partnerships

This year, we partnered with student organizations at leading universities like UCLA, UNC and the University of Michigan. These partnerships help their members prepare with the best of IB Vine.
With the recent launch of and our formal University Partnerships program, we're excited to expand our partnerships in 2026.

Looking ahead

Given our heavy investment in improving the core product and platform this year, next year we'll be focused on:
  • Continued expansion of our "Reported in Interviews" question bank - adding the latest questions from current and most recent recruiting cycles
  • Expanding our partnerships - working with more universities and organizations to bring the best of IB Vine to more candidates
Thank you to everyone who used IB Vine this year - we're excited to continue building the best resource for investment banking interview preparation.

200K+ students have used IB Vine to help land offers at top firms.

The IB Vine technical prep is beyond helpful, it's so much more fun quizzing myself every now and then vs. reading through the guides again.

I personally found that the 'IB Vine Select' collection had some of the exact questions I was asked in my Qatalyst interviews.

I found this website really helpful, which also helps me better prepare for the technical interview in IBD position and get an offer.

Check out IB Vine, specifically the 'IB Vine Select' questions. Once you can get a handle of those, it seems like you are in a spot where you're applying the concepts rather than simply memorizing them

Beyond the 400 questions guide, try to understand a deeper level and the underlying concepts of the questions being asked. Use ibvine, it really helps.

IB Vine has excellent questions, especially multistep ones. In my experience I've gotten grilled on accretion/dilution, bond math, and merger model questions. IB Vine has great practice for all of those.

As a nontraditional transfer student who has been rendered unavailable to many resources at my university (Leadership positions at clubs, immediately behind the recruiting cycle, etc.) IB Vine has been an absolute game changer in my IB prep.

From my experience interviewing FT for IB, it’s not enough to just know the 400 questions anymore (it’s a good starting point) but to look at even more advanced questions. Would recommend IB Vine.

heard all the new kids use IB Vine now. the questions on IB Vine helped me get the concepts down when I had to recruit and make a lot of BB/MM interviews easier than I expected for techs

Just got off the phone with a kid who interned at a Dallas PE firm. He mentioned that IBvine.io helped him secure that internship as well as his Summer Analyst offer, especially since he came from a non-target with no resources.
